I’m sitting in my office the following morning when Jaxon walks in. He walks straight to me and curls into my lap. I pull him closer and kiss the top of his head. “Good morning, Litso kukly. Did you sleep good?” He and Eli were sound asleep when Blaze and I finally made it to bed. I took my time with Blaze, cleaning him and making sure I took care of the marks on his back and chest.

“Yeah.” He looks up at me. “Eli said you took care of Blaze. Is he okay?”

“This is why you’re perfect. You had a bad night, and you’re still worried about him.”

Jaxon shrugs. “I know he blamed himself. I probably should have told you guys before we went that far.”

“You did the right thing when you found your limit and used your safeword. I’d like to take you out today.”

Jaxon snuggles deeper into my chest, and my heart skips a beat. “Where are we going?”

“To breakfast first and then just out. I want you all to myself today.”

“I love that idea. Can we go somewhere that has bacon? I fucking love bacon.”

I chuckle and tilt his face up to mine. “You can have whatever you want, Litso kukly. Now, go get dressed.”

With a grin, Jaxon slides off my lap. “Yes, Daddy.” I growl under my breath, and his laugh follows him through the door.

I finish what I was working on, shut my laptop, and go to the foyer to wait. Jaxon comes down fifteen minutes later, looking good enough to eat. I grab his hand and lead him to the waiting limo before I rip his clothes off, and we don’t make it anywhere.

We stop at his favorite diner first, and I try to ignore all the dirty looks we keep getting for sitting so close in the booth together. People on this side of town can be judgemental toward gay men, but I refuse to let that ruin our time. Jaxon seems to be taking it in stride, but I can see him glancing at the people giving us dirty looks.

“Don’t worry about them, Litso kukly.”

“I’m not.” He moves closer to my side, and I wrap my arm around his shoulders. “I like this. It feels right.”

“Because it is.”

We eat the rest of our meal in silence, and then I take him around the city, showing him all of my favorite places. No matter where we go or who’s staring, Jaxon keeps hold of my hand or stays against my side. I’ve never hidden who I am as a gay man, but having someone like Jaxon to share it with has been nothing short of amazing. When night falls, I take him back to the little hidden oasis from the first night. Jaxon’s face lights up when he sees where I’m taking him.

“I really thought you were going to kill me that first night.”

I chuckle and pull out a chair at a table for him. “I wanted to do many things to you that night, but killing wasn’t one of them.
